Born in 1977 in Torgau/Elbe. Studied social and cultural anthropology, religious studies and Hispanic studies at the University of Leipzig and the Universidad de Granada (Spain). Doctorate at the University of Trier as a scholarship holder of the German Research Foundation within the framework of the Research Training Group "Identity and Difference" with research in Ecuador.

Traineeship at the Grassi Museum für Völkerkunde zu Leipzig, then various functions at the Staatliche Ethnographische Sammlungen Sachsen (SKD), including Custodian for the Collections from the Americas and Provisional Director. Head of Collections and Department "World Cultures and their Environment" at the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museums Mannheim and scholarship holder of the Alfred Toepfer Foundation in the program Museion21. Until the end of 2021 Deputy Director at the Museum of European Cultures - National Museums in Berlin. Since 2022 Director and Member of the Board of the Stiftung Deutsches Hygiene-Museum.

Curatorial cooperation projects, among others, with the Vatican Museums on the Dresden sculptor Ferdinand Pettrich in the Albertinum Dresden, and with the U'mista Culture Centre in Alert Bay, Canada. Lectures at the HTW Berlin, Master's program Museum Management and Communication, among others on protest cultures in museums, and at the Universities of Leipzig and Halle. Recent conferences and editorships: "What's Missing? Collecting and Exhibiting Europe" (funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation), "Provenance Research on Ethnological Collections of the Colonial Period" (funded by the Volkswagen Foundation), and on Introduction to Museum Anthropology (funded by the Ernst von Siemens Art Foundation). Member of the advisory board for the course "Museum Management and Communication", HTW Berlin.

Born in 1990 in Berlin. Studied German Language and Literature, Art history and Economics at the Technical University of Dresden. Accompanying activities as a research assistant at the Institutes of Modern German Literature and Art History.

Worked for several years at the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden in the controlling departments in the areas of accounting and third-party funding controlling as well as curatorial projects as a research assistant in the department of research and scientific cooperation. Subsequently, personal assistant to the Director of Finance and development of the Internal Audit Department. Since 2021, Director of Finance and Administration and Member of the Board of the Stiftung Deutsches Hygiene-Museum.
