Dispatch of invitations and information material

Today, the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum sees itself as a place for discussing the cultural, social and scientific upheavals of our time. With its diverse exhibition program, it is a popular destination for guests from all over the world. Its extensive range of events makes it a much-visited meeting place for Dresden's city society. The resulting invitations to events, programme booklets, posters, flyers and museum publications are just as diverse as our range of services.

Transfer of objects, photographs or documents to the collection

We thank you for your willingness to transfer objects, photographs or documents to the collection of the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum. The collection holdings of our museum are mainly presented in the permanent exhibition and in the special exhibitions; they are also available for use in the context of external exhibition projects or for publication and research projects.

Provision of objects, photographs, files or documents for presentation in permanent or temporary exhibitions

Exhibiting is carried out in our museum in temporary (special exhibitions) or permanent exhibitions (permanent exhibition, children's museum). In our exhibitions a larger number of objects are presented in thematic contexts. The permanent exhibition shows a representative cross-section of our own collection. In the special exhibitions, often in addition to loans, further topics are presented. Objects, photographs, files or documents are made available to the loan office of the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum as loans or purchases for presentation in the permanent or special exhibitions.

The Conference Centre of the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum

The Deutsche Hygiene-Museum is also available for guest events with several hundred participants. The attractive rooms of the professionally equipped conference centre can be rented for workshops, congresses, receptions or other events.

Guided Tours and educational offers

Education is traditionally a cornerstone of the museum. For school classes and other visitor groups, it offers a differentiated and inclusive range of guided tours and educational activities as well as entertaining public events.

A wide-ranging scientific and cultural programme offers popular and challenging lectures, discussions and conferences, concerts or literary readings.

Lost property

With its varied exhibition programme, our museum is a popular destination for guests from all over the world. If you have lost something during your visit or you have left something behind, you can contact our staff at the finding place. We will be happy to send you the items found.

Photo, sound and video recordings in exhibitions and events

Our events and exhibitions are regularly documented in photographs, films and/or audio recordings. The resulting recordings are used for PR purposes, e.g. for museum publications, program booklets, internet publications, website and the museum's YouTube, Soundcloud and social media channels. The above-mentioned purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in the processing of personal data. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f), GDPR. The photos / videos will be produced and edited by a photographer / video producer commissioned by us and then handed over to us for further use. Of course, the photographer / video producer is also subject to the legal requirements for compliance with data protection. Processing of personal data when using our website for information purposes

This website uses the Youtube embedding feature to display and play videos from the provider Youtube, which belongs to Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). The extended data protection mode is used here, which according to the provider's information, only starts to store user information when the video(s) are played.
